Team Northwest 16U Perfect Game MLK Weekend Championships, Phoenix 2014

I had the balls to post a picture of tres_arbolitos with the Champion Team Northwest 18U ball club despite only being on their roster for the championship game, and that still makes me chuckle. But here's a shot of some of the boys with whom he played most of that tournament, TNW 16U.

This was the strongest group of players tres_arbolitos ever travelled with. After this shot, they made the playoff bracket. One game later, they bowed out in the quarter finals, a testament to the strength of the competition Perfect Game attracts even to their less glamorous events.

But tres_arbolitos had a nice tournament as one of the younger 2016's on the team and showed he belongs in this level of competition. Now our appetite rises anticipating High School season and the summer to come thereafter. That summer will include a trip to yet another Perfect Game tournament, this time the grandaddy 15U World Wood Bat Championships in Georgia, in June. Whoa Nelly!
